Mediation: When mutually requested by Labor and Management, the Executive Director serves as mediator in labor-management disputes, whether contract negotiations or grievances or both.
Elections: The Executive Director conducts card checks, holds secret ballot elections and mediates contract negotiations and grievances concerning public employees as provided by City and County ordinances.
Arbitration: LLMC maintains a roster of arbitrators and makes a panel available to parties upon request. If you are interested in obtaining a panel of arbitrators please contact us. If you would like to apply to be on our roster, please apply here. Please note, applications are limited to arbitrators within a 400-mile radius.
Consulting: Parties may consult informally with the Executive Director before an impasse is reached. This consultation can be highly successful resolving disputes in their initial stages.
